Hanukkah March of the Temple Mount Faithful

Another Exciting Hanukkah March of the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem

The Shekinah of G–d dwelled among us and followed us all the way from Modi’in, the city of the Hashmonaim, to the holy Temple Mount of G–d in Jerusalem

Friends from the world that participated in this march confirmed the end-time prophesy of the great prophet Isaiah:“ And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.” Isaiah 2:3

The Hanukkah march of the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement to the Temple Mount on the 28th of Kislev (December 19th 2006) took place on one of the most exciting and critical times in the history of Israel. Israel is experiencing now end-time days of Mashiach and redemption. The godly process of the rebirth of Israel in the same land of the covenant exactly as G–d promised to His people Israel continues intensively. The holy land of Israel is no more a widow and a wilderness as it was in the last 2000 years of exile: “Behold, the days come, says the Lord, when the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink their wine; they shall also make gardens, and eat their fruit. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, says the Lord your God” Amos 9:13-15.

Israel under the blessings of G-d is each day becoming more and more a blossomed garden exactly as the prophet Amos described it in such exciting words. The children of G-d continue to be regathered by their G–d from all the corners of the world. They are coming on planes exactly as the prophet Isaiah described it: “I will regather them with great mercy on wings of eagles”. At the same time Israel is attacked at this critical time by so many enemies who are trying to stop this godly event that is going to change not only the life of Israel, the people of G–d but also the life of all mankind and open a godly era in the life of all the world. However, those many enemies of the G–d and the people of Israel have no chance to fulfill their evil desires.

The G–d of Israel is determined to fulfill His end-time vision with Israel and all the world and to bring it to pass at this critical time. The G–d of Israel is in the midst of His people Israel to protect, save them from all their enemies and to complete His end-time event with Israel that the climax of it will be the building on the Third Temple on Mount Moriah, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, and the coming of the Mashiach ben David when this process will be completed. The prophets of Israel described this end-time event with Israel in exciting words that everyone in Israel and all over the world should give attention to it and stand with the G–d and the people of Israel at this very special time:

“On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Do not fear, O Zion! Let not your hands be slack. The Lord your God is in your midst; a mighty one who saves, he will rejoice over you with joy; he will be silent in his love, he will joy over you with singing. I will gather those who mourn far away for the solemn assembly, who were of you, who had borne for you the burden of insult. Behold, at that time I will undo all who afflict you; and I will save her who limps, and gather her who was driven out; and I will get praise and fame to those who have been put to shame in all the earth. At that time I will bring you back, and at that time I will gather you; for I will make you a name and a praise among all the people of the earth, when I restore your captivity before your eyes, says the Lord.” (Zephaniah 3:16-20)“And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, where your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell in it, they and their children, and their grandchildren for ever; and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. And I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And the nations shall know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when my Temple shall be in the midst of them for evermore.” (Ezekiel 37: 25-28)

At this special godly critical time of redemption the Faithful Movement marched on Hanukkah, the exciting godly holiday which memorializes another time of redemption that took place in the history of Israel 2,142 years ago when the Greek Hellenistic Empire attacked and occupied the land of Israel. They tried to destroy the independence of the Israeli kingdom under the G-d of Israel and to force the Hellenistic idolatry on the people of Israel and to make their land a part of their empire. However, the G–d of Israel had completely other plans for Israel the “apple of His eyes”. Under the leadership of the High Priest of G–d, Mattityahu the son of Yochanan and his five sons started an heroic revolt against the Greek Empire. They were a small minority of guerillas against a huge majority of the biggest empire of those times, the Greek Empire. The G–d of Israel defeated them together with His very small forces of His faithful Maccabees.

The first place that they liberated was Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. They purified it from the presence of Greek idolatry and renewed the worship to the only one G-d of the universe, the G–d of Israel. Another miracle happened in the Temple when the Maccabees found only a small jar of pure and clean oil that was enough to light the holy seven branches Temple menorah for one day only but G-d made another miracle when it was enough for eight days. This is the reason of the Hanukkah holiday and the lighting of eight branches Hanukkah menorah, each day another branch until on the eight day of the holiday the Hanukkah menorah is completely lit. This holiday expresses an exciting godly time of redemption when the people and the land of Israel became again independent under the leadership of their beloved G-d, the G–d of Israel and the universe.

Under this exciting godly circumstances of the history of Israel and the exciting and critical circumstances of the current redemption of Israel the Faithful Movement decided, exactly as the Maccabees did when they answered the call of G-d, to march from the ancient city of the Maccabees, Modi’in which is located approximately 30 miles from Jerusalem to the Temple Mount through the biblical city of Jerusalem.

Israel is discovering each day by archeological diggings her biblical history. With almost every stone that is picked up in the land of Israel we discover biblical history and Hebrew words. This is the heritage that our forefathers left to the coming generation of the end-time redemption of Israel and in front of the eyes of all the nations as an eternal message: This land of Israel was given by G-d only to His people Israel for a godly purpose and not to anyone else in the world. It is also a message from G-d to all the world that He will never allow anyone to rob this land or any part of it from His people Israel. Just recently was discovered the ancient town of the Maccabees in Modi’in and in the midst of it the original ancient synagogue which was built with the face of it to the Holy of Holies in the Temple of G-d in Jerusalem.

The Temple Mount Faithful Movement started her Hanukkah march in front of the tombs of the Maccabees in Modi’in. We felt the presence of the spirit of the Maccabees and their heritage among us at this exciting moment. We lit the Hanukkah menorah and swore faithfulness to the G–d of Israel and to the heritage of the Maccabees as an example to our generation. We prayed from the book of Maccabees and promised to our heroic forefathers not to rest day and night until their godly heritage to our generation will be fulfilled. One of the leaders of the underground fighters of Israel against the British Empire that controlled the land of Israel until 1948, Moshe Svorai, called on the people of Israel to defeat and to throw out from the holy land of Israel their Islamic enemies that want to remove Israel from the map of the world exactly as it was in the time of the Maccabees. He called on Israel to take example from their heroic battle against the British Empire and to trust only the G–d of Israel.

After the exciting ceremony at Modi’in we ran with the torch that symbolized the spirit of the Maccabees on the mountains of Beit Horon. The mountains of Beit Horon were the first place that the Maccabees defeated heavy forces of the Greeks on their way to liberate Jerusalem, to purify the Temple and to renew the worship to the one G-d of Israel. Later we arrived to the gates of the biblical Jerusalem in the same track of the Maccabees. In the plaza of the gate we again lit the Hanukkah menorah with the torch that we brought from Modi’in. Gershon Salomon called on the government of Israel to reject the pressure that is coming from the Islamic countries, many other countries all over the world and especially from Secretary of State of the U.S., Condolessa Rice, to divide the land of Israel, including Jerusalem, the eternal capital of the G-d and the people of Israel and to establish a foreign terror so called “Palestinian” state in the holy land given by G–d to Israel only in an eternal covenant. He warned in the name of the G–d of Israel all of them that the judgement of G–d is soon to come upon all of those who gave their hand against G–d and His covenant with Israel and the land given by Him to His chosen people for an eternal purpose exactly as the prophet Joel put it in his prophesy about the end-times which we are experiencing now:

“For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will enter into judgment with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and have divided my land”
(Joel 4: 1 & 2).The most exciting moment at this holy place was when we swore faithfulness to Jerusalem and prayed Psalm 122: “A Song of Maalot of David. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet shall stand inside your gates, O Jerusalem. Jerusalem is built as a city which is bound firmly together; There the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, as was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the Lord. For thrones of judgment were set there, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; those who love you shall prosper. Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces. For my brothers and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within you. Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good.”

After the demonstration at the plaza of the Jaffa Gate we marched with the torch to the Temple Mount. The Old City of Jerusalem could hear the Word of the G–d of Israel along its ancient narrow streets on the way to the holy Temple Mount of G–d through its western gate. It was the climax of this exciting event when we arrived to Mount Moriah the holy place of the G–d of Israel, the location of the First, the Second and soon the Third Temple. Here we lit again the Hanukkah menorah and demonstrated the holy cause of the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement to immediately rebuild the Third Temple of G–d. In the name of the people of Israel and many faithful people all over the world we promised G-d to fulfill in the lifetime of our generation the Word of G–d and His call to His people Israel and her friends all over the world:

“The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for from Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall decide for many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken it.” (Isaiah 2:1-4 and Micah 4:1-4)

It was so symbolic that friends from outside o f Israel participated in this exciting Hanukkah event of the Faithful Movement in the most holy place of G–d: This exciting Word and call of G–d to our generation started already to become reality at this godly moment on the holy mountain of G–d. This end-time event of the end-time vessel of G–d, the Temple Mount Faithful Movement, was an important step and major stage towards the rebuilding of the end-time Temple of G–d on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The presence of the Shekinah of G–d on His holy hill and among us was a clear promise from G–d that it is soon to come to pass. In G-d we trust!
